Meet Imelda

Imelda is the director and principal psychologist at Life in Balance Psychology Services. Imelda has a passion for helping individuals create changes in their lives so they can live life to the fullest.

Imelda has over 20 years of experience as a psychologist, in both government departments and private practice. In 2011 Imelda established Life in Balance Psychology Services in Ringwood, and in 2022 opened an additional location on a property in Arthurs Creek, for Equine Psychotherapy. Imelda has always had a passion for combining therapy with her love of horses.

Imelda has extensive experience with working with families, couples and individuals, and has expertise in a range of issues including: depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, phobias, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, and family and relationship issues. Imelda draws on a range of evidence-based therapies to support individuals in creating change and provides a safe, relaxed and empathetic space.

Imelda is a registered psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Imelda is dedicated to her horses and riding and has recently returned to competing. She also enjoys going for walks and spending time with family at home.

Meet Issy

Issy will be the first point of contact for new clients and a familiar voice on the phone to existing clients when they reach out to Life in Balance. Issy is a warm, friendly, and empathetic individual who is passionate about empowering individuals to improve their well-being. Issy is currently completing her psychology honours and working at Life in Balance enhances her passion to work as a psychologist in her future career.

Issy is a highly competent administrator who has been with Life in Balance for several years. She is organised, compassionate and enjoys supporting clients in their mental health journeys.
